Since a very young age Schüftan loved playing production. He would borrow his dad's Handycam, connect it to the TV and pretend to be a sports broadcaster. Once his parents noticed his love for production, they started bringing him to the studios where they would produce TV and Radio commercials and to the venues where his mom would produce big time fundraisers, including concerts with A-list artists, for her children's school. This is when he started roaming backstage and meeting famous people.

 

But the “aha moment” happened when Schüftan went to his first concert, which happened to be Gloria Stefan and Miami Sound Machine in front of over 60,000 people! Considered one of the biggest shows in the world back in 1992 clocking in at 125 tons of gear and costing $700,000 per show (the equivalent of nearly $1,700,000 today), the mesmerizing concert was the day that he realized how powerful it is when music meets technology.

 

And as is the norm nowadays, he found himself at Front of House watching the show after his two little buddies fainted so the mom chaperoning the kids left him with the show crew while the boys recovered at the Red Cross tent. 

 

Fast forward to today and Schüftan still loves "playing" production but now he gets to play with the latest gear on a large scale. He is multifaceted when it comes to production with his strengths being in both audio and video technologies. He can produce, capture, edit, and do it all live in the most stressful environments, but it is his attitude and personality that really sets him apart. He knows his place and can quickly adapt so that every production is a success!

 

After thousands of hours spent to master his craft and hundreds of productions under his belt, Schüftan still loves production, and learning new gear and mastering new technologies are his favorite games to play!
